Our nearest strawberry patch opened for the season this weekend, so we didn't waste any time getting there right after school today...
Anna and Claire stuck together for the hunt.
Noah and Ben did the same.
After two rows and some random picking here and there throughout,
Cindy's crew had 6 lbs of berries and we trailed with only 4.5.
We'll be back soon to pick more. Josh has an order in already for more freezer jam to last the year. We are down to our last 3 jars from last year and several bags of frozen berries we never used. :S
Anna has put in a request, however, that we mash the fruit much more for this batch. No lumps of berry in her spread, thankyouverymuch.
