Catching up on January

Well, goodness gracious!  Happy New Year!!

A whole month, the first of 2021,  has come and gone and we have gotten SO. MUCH. done moving and unpacking and settling in at the new house.  We have also endured high drama with the selling then not selling then selling again of our Gallatin home, but all is well in the end.  I will update that stuff in February after we finally close on that bad boy.  Please, Lord, let us finally close on that bad boy!  As a result of all that drama with the Gallatin house, we finagled some awesome loan option that allowed to go ahead and close on the Bethpage house before selling and we are humbled and so thankful that could work out.  Our sellers here in Bethpage were getting a little aggravated with all the startstops involved with the drama sellingnotselling of our house.  So we closed on the Bethpage house about 2 weeks ago.  It already feels like longer than that - ha!

Pretty much allllll of January has been documented in pics of the view from our front porch or side yards.  I {think} I have some of the people around here interspersed in there.  We shall see.  This month we enjoyed a visit from Emily and crew for New Years.  And we've enjoyed several small snows.  Lots of appts and repairmen and installs.  We are bleeeeeeeding money and I don't wanna talk about it.  It's frightening.   Anna got her ears pierced again finally.  And we squeezed in a wedding of a precious friend from church.  Lasa lost another tooth.  School soldiered on.  No one caught COVID.  Big month!  Forgive the coming photo dump.

The cherry on top of a month of so much was finally getting my car back in the garage.  Josh had a LOT of workshop and tools and equipment and gardening stuff to relocate and move around to make this happen.  He is feeling the pinch of not having his workshop anymore.

Next up, selling our house, planning for spring and chickens, and letting all this financial dust settle.
