Marching On

Couple good books I read in a week in early March.

Noah at evaluations for a new season of hockey.  It's been a little over a year since he last played and he is excited to get back to it.  It will be a busy spring between this and school and work and his social life.

Just a funny I found one day.

I keep on doing work days with Melanie.  This is one of the projects we tackled this month.

We had a wild and windy day that knocked out power for so many for so long.  Some for days.  We were out of power for half a day, I would say, so Josh got our fridge and kitchen working at least with his generator.  First time we have ever used it ... except for running a tiller a couple years ago.

Cutie pie kitty found a sweet spot one night.

We finally, finally sucked it up and bought some mulch.  Lots and lots and lots of mulch for the front landscaping.  Before now Josh has tried this thing with leaves and they just always blow away revealing the cardboard boxes and landscape cloth beneath, which get tattered and unsightly on their own.  I have never loved the sight of brown dirt and wood so much.  It looks so great now!

Spring brings me lots of sweet time to read on the porch ... setting sunshine with cool air.  Perfection.

Forgive me ... before this part, things were ok.  Then a family crisis stunned us all and we have not recovered.  Please pray for us.  I will only drop all the pics (without notes, sadly) we have from the rest of the month because I am only treading water in survival and grief mode at the moment.
