I love Noah's cheesy grin in this picture. Did Josh really use a spray bottle to make the snow man? Creative. BTW, I used your post today about Noah's adoption literature to help me make a few selections. My mother gave me some birthday money to spend at barnes and noble and I decided to use it on adoption children's literature. From your list, I purchased "We Belong Together", "My Adopted Child, There's No One Like You" and "The Wonderful Happens". The other 3 I ordered are "God Found Us You" (One Kevin heard recommended by World Magazine), "I Love You like Crazy Cakes" (an Asian adoption story) and "Adopted and Loved Forever" (got good reviews several places). Have you read any of these? Any other must haves you recommend?

Oh, getting these other adoption book recommendations just makes my day! Especially that "God Found us You" title. I have looked at that series of books multiple times thinking how badly they needed an adoption version. It's perfect! Have heard of the Crazy Cakes one before.

Another one I would recommend that we got most recently (I mentioned it on a post awhile back, but I should add it to my list instead- thanks for the reminder) is "I Wished for You: An Adoption Story" by Marianna Richmond.

I personally will skip the Adopted and Loved forever based on a number of reviews I read on Amazon, but to be fair there were a number of reviews who liked it a lot.

Oh, I'm glad to hear you also recommend the book "I Wished for You: An Adoption Story" I already added that to my wish list as well earlier today. The book Adopted and Loved Forever has a newer version that came out in 2009 that seemed to get better reviews than the older version, but we'll see when it arrives if it was worth spending the money. Maybe I should have bagged that purchase and gotten the above mentioned one.

Oh yeah - spraying water did not work. They just had to sort of rake and sweep the soft snow into that sad pile. Don't tell Noah...he doesn't know what an unfit snowman it is. ;)

Amy, you always find the cutest and most unique gifts! Noah has been dying to build a snowman since he got that kit you sent! :)

What a super happy boy! And so glad I opened these comments... lots of great book suggestions. ;) We finally succeeded in creating our own snowman today too.
