Festivities the Week of the Fourth

Monday, besides lakeside fireworks with Redeemer peeps of course, we hit up the Splash Pad in White House with Meghan and her boys.  It was a much needed time to catch up with them and enjoy the morning air before the sky fell out.

Tuesday, besides dinner, swim, and neighborhood fireworks of course, the kids and I slipped in a showing of Despicable Me 3 in 3D.  I crack up that Abe on Noah's shirt was not to be outdone in the shades department.  😂  Also, I attempted two french braids in Anna's hair.  They weren't lovely, but we both loved them!

Wednesday, we chillaxed at home until a quick library run.  After the library, we strolled the greenway and came back to the Toddler Storytime at the library.  Lasa didn't join in the songs and story until the parachute and bubbles came out.  HA!

Thursday, we checked putt-putt off our summer bucket list.  And then we enjoyed the go-karts and bumper boats while we were there.  It was hot, but breezy.  It was such a fun outing together!

Friday, we had plans to meetup with Emily and the fam at a midway stopping point between Gallatin and Huntsville.  We decided on a Port Royal Park in Spring Hill and it was perfect!! After the sun and fun, we landed at Moe's which was delicious!

Saturday, the kiddos and Josh worked in their greenhouse some more, we met up with Karla and her crew while they were in town and - bonus - Emmie and Heath popped over for that visit as well!

And we rounded off the week with some evening kayaking, which was be a first for my peeps who
usually opt for first thing in the morning.  I stayed home a finished a good book.

What a great week to have Josh off work.  Has felt like a jam-packed staycation.  Glad for it!  Bummed it's back to work for him on Monday.
