We hit Jackson's Orchard again this year with just one thing different from the past two years we have gone; we went sans Josh for the first time ever. This year Noah, Anna, and I went with some homeschool friends for a weekday field trip instead. And this year we got to learn how they make apple cider and sample some fresh apples. :)
If you look closely, you will notice Noah's tongue pushing over his loose tooth on the bottom to make sure it didn't come out in the apple. :} Anna picked the cutest little apple you ever saw, by the way.
Most of our group today. Some were late ... and one little guy is hidden in the back. I only noticed it now because that little guy ended up being the best part of Noah's day. :)
On the hayride to the corn maze and pumpkin patch.
Noah and Nile ... these two just met today and were FAST buddies. It always touches my heart to stand back and watch who my children gravitate toward.
Our pickins from the patch. First pumpkins for our porch this year. :)
Cheese!
Inspecting their produce.
Rubber ducky racing.
Noah back at his annual stunts on The Cider Slider.
Anna following in his footsteps.
The hay bale playground was a BIG hit this year for some reason.
Noah was drawn to the animals again as always. He also frequented the farm dog and cat that roam the property.
And Anna, who was once bitten at this particular destination by a donkey, is proud to announce that she plucked up the nerve and tried her hand (literally, ha!) at feeding an animal again today and it went without offense. Hooray! She was able to keep her hand open and flat and still and, as I promised her, the cutie pie goats did not take a bite out of her cutie pie hand. V for victory!
Thanks for a lovely day, Jackson's Orchard! Always a pleasure. :)
