Festival, Fistival

We hit the Festival of Lights last night and were sorely disappointed with the weak display, but we had some good giggles at the same time. Noah was impressed no less. Thankfully on the way home we passed an even better drive through lights display that did not disappoint. Just imagine 50 times the hootin' and hollerin' you hear from Noah on this video from our first lights stop. I am laughing in the background because we were the ONLY car there and the path was not lit, so without my headlights on I could not see where to turn or which road to take. Like I said...they ripped off our $5. I guess the cheap entrance fee should have tipped us off. Live and learn.

Anna thinks she upstaged our lights festivals with her own fistival.

This weekend, we also had Anna participate in a test run in her BeBe Pod. Clearly, we are not ready for that just yet.

Miss Anna is such a little doll...babies and the color pink aren't such bad things now are they? : )
Noah being so "all boy" makes Anna even more "all girl"...both beautiful blessings from God. Interesting to think about how God sent the Savior of the world to us in the form of one this innocent, helpless little babies...still amazing!

Have you ever been to the lights at Callaway Gardens? It is so hard to get excited about any other lights when that is the standard. Sorry for the bum ride!

Awe! Was that really snow on the ground in the lights video?! So jealous, if so! It's going be mid seventies here this week in ole Middle GA. Really brings down the Christmas feel, when you're wearing short sleeved shirts. And Anna...so cute...her little bobbling head, haha...I loved that video...reminded me of those little wobble head dolls you can put in your car...remember those? But she way prettier...and I can't get over her unique sounds...Can't wait to hear what her giggle sounds like!

So sweet. I love how Josh is so excited about the lights...at least in Noah's eye's he is. Great daddy. Also, where did you find the GREAT babysitter so soon? (fromt the last blog?)

Alison: Oh yes, we had that very conversation about light show standards already being too high from Atlanta and from Callaway Gardens as well. :)

Emily: Yeah, snow. We even got some good snow at the house, but it didn't stick.

Heather: That lovely young lady is the daughter of our friends/Sunday School teachers from when we lived in GA. She is finishing up her master's degree at Vanderbilt and loves babies. She is a particular blessing since we knew NO ONE when we got here...except for her. I believe we first met her just after she graduated high school as she headed off to Mercer. Anyway, such a welcome coincidence that we all ended up in Nashville now. :)

Oh yeah, Mas - Don't you remember I threw up the white flag of surrender over the pink issue as soon as she was born! My princess needs her pink...her mommy needs her in pink.

Now it's my turn to say aaaah! I just re-read my comment and realized I botched the last sentence, which of course should have said "...one of these..." I even previewed it..sigh. Oh well, I had just survived a Christmas party here with Bobby's family, so my brain wasn't fully functional...gotta know the family to appreciate the fact I survived. ie. his brother and rowdy crew showed up on SATURDAY at 2:00 rather than SUNDAY at 2:00...and it's an hour's drive one-way. oh boy, what fun. : )

Oh yeah, guess that also explains why I forgot you had already waved the white flag of surrender over pink! : )

Anna's hair looked red in one of those videos- am I dreaming?

Hi Carol! You are not dreaming. That same thought flashed across my mind yesterday too. Sadly, she does not look that reddish in person...yet. I know she has it in her based on her memaw's and uncle's hair and her daddy's goatee. We shall see. :)
