Hangin' OUT

Last week was our county's Spring Break.  We didn't take our spring break with them, but we enjoyed much time OUTside as if we did.  Treehouse got finished...

Proof I actually got up in it to see the finished project.

Proud co-conspirator for this project.  Could any girl up a tree be any cuter?  Probably ... if she could manage to get a little less sap all over her in said treehouse.

We had a picnic OUT back the day before the kiddos camped OUT with Josh.

The kids helped set up their own tents.  Then the girls passed the time acting OUT with silly selfies while Josh and Noah did the finishing touches on the campfire.

Josh and the big kids camped and roasted marshmallows.  Lasa and I slept inside of course.  How cute is Lasa's tent inside the big tent, though?

Another day it rained and you know what that means...

It came down severely another day while Anna and I were enrOUTe to her sewing class.  It was something else to behold, stranded on the street, cars stopping in the road, signs looking like they were gonna rip right out of the ground, little hailstones coming down, almost no visibility it rained so hard so fast ... and then blue skies within minutes!  I chased the clouds back home after dropping Anna off, reminding myself about March and spring ... in like a lion, OUT like a lamb.

Anna is back in action OUTdoors with baseball.  She has really looked forward to trying her second season at it.  She is doing coach-pitch in the 7/8 y/o league.

In other OUTside action, cousins came to town for a couple days.  They painted nails in the treehouse, rescued worms in the street, named a frog on the hot tub, took in movies in the new movie room OUT in the shed, did chalk, played Cops and Robbers, rode scooters and bikes, along with some hard core Minecraft and Lego play here and there.

I know this isn't technically an OUTside shot, but I just liked the togetherness of the bigs plus Lasa checking OUT some funny slow-mo videos. :)

And finally, this shot from OUTside on Josh's lunch one day.

And this pic that makes me smile - a bunch of kiddos we love at a birthday party yesterday.  It was cold OUT, but the cold could not contain the fun and creek exploration in Selina's wide, wide world of backyard. :)

How could we top all these fun OUTdoorsy endeavors of the past week and two weekends?  By finally taking our own Spring Break this coming week.  Insert long, contented exhale at the relaxation and down time ahead.  Peace OUT!
