I'll Be Home for Christmas

This year we got to spend Christmas at home.  That's always nice.

Also nice?  Having grandparents drive 14 hours in one day just to spend it with us. It's a good thing, too.  The ninjabread cookies might not have made it without Memaw's saving touch.  So cute!

More cuteness? Little Porcupine's Christmas.

Ready for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Ready for the kiddos Christmas morning.

Unpacking stockings.

Unpacking the Santa bag.  Went so fast, it was all a blur. :}

At last!  Anna's FlutterBye.

More goodies from the big guy.  Noah got his prized dragon and castle lego set.

Moving on to family gifts.

Anna got a real camera too (one of my old ones, technically).  She put it to use right away.

The FlutterBye is pretty cool!

So are Noah's new wheels and biking gloves!

Noah introduced Papa to the finer details of Skylanders, of which Santa gave him a couple new characters.

It takes a really cool grandmother to help you color your hair.  Anna, lucky thing, just happens to have one to help her figure out the highlights Santa left in her stocking.

And since Memaw gifted the girl with some crafts this Christmas, I think it only fair that she help her do them, too.  Ha!  Look closely and you will see the makeup they did together and the accessorizing from Anna's dress up bin.

The only thing we were missing this Christmas was snow.  But at least we got some cool air.  So glad to be home for the holiday!

While I adore my young adults and the fun we are having together, there is nothing quite like Christmas with littles. Loved seeing their excitement and wonder.

Which reminds me ... where exactly are y'all? Carol said she thought y'all had two different destinations on your travels this Christmas?

No, just one. Heading home now. We were in Clayton/dillard the entire time.
