Field Trippin'!

Monday afternoon, our homeschool group (or, the half that didn't cancel at the last minute, ha!) enjoyed a tour of the National Weather Service's Nashville office! I had no idea it was so close to home - close enough to drop Lasa with Josh for an hour at his office so we could focus and enjoy the outing baby-free.

The kids got to participate in the one of the twice daily weather balloon launches ...

... and got more of the data speak and explanation inside the office.

The guys were great and so gracious with our group!  The kiddos were pretty great too - listening so well, asking questions, and being still and quiet when it was needed. Anna was the most participatory kiddo there that day. I was proud of her.

We also enjoyed some rock throwing and exploring around the lake in the course of our day.
