Treasure Island at NCT

We have such a great children's theater here in Nashville.  They ALWAYS do such good work.  This time, that good work went into Treasure Island.  Noah read the book last year (though Anna swears I read it aloud, I don't remember that), then we watched a made-for-TV movie shortly after.  And we have looked forward to this play ever since.  It did not disappoint!

Since Lasa was at PDO and Josh left work early to pick her up for me, it allowed the kids and I to stick around for the rest of the Homeschool Day offerings along with the show, starting with the Q & A with the actors afterwards (Anna asked if they have ever forgotten their lines on stage, Noah asked how heavy the movable sets were that they took on and off stage for different scenes).

They had all sorts of fun activities and piratey guides in the lobby for related crafts and activities.  It was all so charming.  Glad for it!

We heard about a Disney version of the book that we somehow missed in our search, so I see us checking that one out next.  Apparently, it was Disney's first ever live action movie.  Fun fact!
