On a Sunday Afternoon

The only thing that could pull us from water gun fights

and a new trampoline on a Sunday afternoon together

was the

ice cream man

and a

couple of

Cherry Bomb Pop Juniors

while we watched red birds eat cicadas in flight.

Yum,

yum,

yum!

Sad face. We don't have an ice cream man in these woods. But we do have some great neighbors down at the horse farm and we shared these very same bomb pops with them and their two granddaughters Friday evening on their porch. :)

Are you telling me that handy corner store you have does not carry them, too? I don't believe it.

I've never looked. Because the particular cooler that holds all thing ice cream related sits right at the door and is usually covered with "stuff."

that was fun ! We have scary looking ice cream vans come around here too...though you're was a bit more cheery than the our scary scary sketchy ones around here. Still, Brooklyn has begged us already to go get some ice cream from them....maybe next time. :)

Oh, poor Brooklyn. She was just born into the wrong set of parents, Josh runs like a mad man to catch the ice cream man. He's even run out to him while the kids are napping so he could surprise them with the news/sweets when they wake up.

Last year was a slow ice cream man year though...he only came down our street like 3-4 times all summer. THIS year, he has come 3-4 times this WEEK. :)
