Beach Trip: Food, Fun, Family!

Our Food, Fun, and Family highlights included ....

The pool that sat right below our room.  Convenient!

And, bonus, this pool went indoors as well as out.

We bought so many credits at The Track this visit that we couldn't even use them all.

And, trust me, we tried!  I even drove a go-kart for once.  But only once.

Noah loved the wooden track best of all.  Look at that grin!

Anna was all about it as well.

Clearly.

The bumper boats had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe.

That might have been because I was pretty cramped in there with me, my purse, my girl, and the camera.  Ha!

What is it about getting wet that drives you crazy but cracks you up all at the same time.  Life is such a trip.

Chillin' back at the room with iPad and bracelet-making supplies after all that sun!

Putt-putt, anyone?

We tried to check out as many places as we could for meals, not counting our free breakfast buffet at the hotel every morning.  Here we enjoyed the view from Bahama Bob's patio.
The wind was CRAZY this day!

Other restaurants we enjoyed were The Rib Shak BBQ, Mojo's, Bill's by the Beach, Dippin' Dots, GooRoos Grill, West Beach Grille,

and Island Ice Cream who voluntarily went out of their way to accommodate our peanut-allergy boy.  I tipped big there!

We also did some shopping one rainy morning at the outlets and souvenir shops ... almost buying a hermit crab.  At week's end, we were so sad to pack up and leave, but plans to visit with Johnmark (Josh's oldest brother), Amy, Beka and her boyfriend on the way home helped ease us away from the beach slowly.

Once in FL, Noah kept meekly hinting to his uncle that he would like to shoot again, so Johnmark humored the boy.

We enjoyed catching up with them, laughing hard during and after a late-night Sonic run for shakes.  We also chilled out in the shade with a picnic at a park.

While there, the kids (and Aunt Amy) played tennis and even got to play in a splash pad we didn't know was there. Good thing we happened to still have the kids' suits in the car!

After a day and a half with family (and a full week away from home), it was really time to head back to Nashville though. It felt like a much longer trip coming back than it did going, but at least we had some entertainment. :}

Next up, our absolute FAVORITE part of our beach trip:
Wind and WAVES!

Josh's face was pretty funny in all the go-kart shots I got, too. :}

Cindy, you were the one who told me to make sure and get there last time. Good advice it was! We noticed this time that they are the ONLY restaurant lucky enough to be right on the beach. That explains why they were the only one we ever saw with a LINE of people waiting to get a spot.
