This is the first time Noah's had company over that was not mommy-driven/selected. Owen is a sweet boy, but Josh hovered over them just about all morning in effort to pounce on a few choice words of Owen's that we don't want Noah adopting. Just something about "dang it" and "what the crap?" coming out of a child's mouth that makes our hair stand on end. I think Josh might have come on a little strong with Owen after the second or third time he said it. He said Owen seemed a bit startled at his sternness. :S What to do, what to do... These are new waters we are navigating.

yeah, just remember that you don't want to scare Noah's friends off either...especially if they're hearts are sweet in all other aspects. Just be sure to have a sit down talk that though he hears those words and phrases from friends, they won't be tolerated out of his mouth.
Scare off that friend, and he may not want to come back....
Remember how all our friends were afraid of dad? I hated that.

I don't know y'all. Josh and I are so torn on this...
Please remind Matthew of some of the friends and acquaintances that came into our lives through the years. Most of those boys were not home-schooled (except in the ways of the world), not from the "right side of the tracks" so to speak. Some could not even speak English. They were not the teachers' pets and didn't make the honor roll but God brought them into our lives and I believe my sons are the better for the experiences.
