Fall Break Fun Bits

So with Josh home last week we took half days of school to lay low and enjoy a homebound Fall Break of sorts.  This included camping out on the back porch.  This was Lasa's first time.  It was a bumpy ride allllll night, but she and Josh survived the night on the back porch with Anna.  Noah and I opted to camp out in our beds in the house.  😆

Got our first pumpkins on the porch.  We picked these up at Lucky Ladd last week.

Little ballet performance Anna orchestrated with Lasa.  And orchestrating a toddler is pretty challenging.  Anna manages her so well.  Precious to me.

As Josh and the kids cleaned up the summer planting and leftover mess in the backyard and greenhouse, Anna checked up on her long lost carrot hopes and discovered some had delivered ... kind of.  😉 They are pretty to me!

Noah continues on with his Language Therapy at TSU twice a week.  His clinician this semester has done the BEST work with Noah of all that have worked with Noah this year.  Thankful for Brad!

Watching the skies all week for the cold front we were dying to have come through and for cloud activity stemming from Hurricane Michael.

Just pretty fall colors.  This one at Chick-Fil-A.  Ha!

Throwback to last week.  A screenshot I grabbed from a video Josh took of Anna at Lucky Ladd.

Part of this year's curriculum is some clay work for Art.  The kids are loving it.  This was one of Anna's creations this week.

Lasa and I hit up a park while we waited for the kids to finish up class at CHET.  Notice the long pants finally.  We jumped from 90's to 60's so happily!  Still, I wonder where the blissful 70's went and if we will see any this year.

This guy.  Sitting at Lasa's play table.  Making play doh creations.  He is all in. Precious to me.

Poor Anna got sick for a couple days.

I tried a fishtail braid on her hair another day.  So pretty!

Kiddos spent some good chunks of time playing with buds across town and some right here in our culdesac.

Josh and the kids went fishing very early in the morning yesterday here at the tail end of our semi-Fall Break.  Caught 6 fish between them.

It's no beach trip in October as all the rest of the world is doing, but we are at peace and thankful for these, our own sweet simple Fall Break blessings this year.  When I feel myself bumming out that we can't take a trip, I remind myself what we CAN say about this year that means so much more - that the Lord blessed our socks off by saying Yes to a long-standing, emotional prayer request - Lasa's adoption. Choosing thankfulness in a big way in this holiday season we are going in to!
