Spring's First Strawberries

We scooted over to our beloved local strawberry patch the second day they were open of the season and quickly picked $50 worth of big beautiful berries.  That is the most we have ever gotten in one trip. 😳  The berries, for the record, are sweeter this year than they have been in a few years.  Delicious!!

We quickly made jam and more jam with them, cut up others and enjoyed them straight up all weekend, even sharing some with the bunnies.  We have more mason jars left to make more jam for our year's stock so we will need to go back, if you can believe that.  Will probably get there next week after we wrap up the last of school this week.  It will be fun to let Lasa pick with us, since we went while she was at PDO for this run.
