Lasa accompanied us to pick berries once as a baby but she stayed in her stroller that year. Last year, in the interest of less hassle, we did all our berry picking while she was at PDO. This year, we even did a run without her to get started, but yesterday, when the berry picking was less critical, we took the toddler and looked forward to this first with her. She was tickled about berries in the patch and picked about 5 herself. After that it was all about the nibbling. HA! Good first trip.
We have completed a million jars of jam that likely still won't last us a year. We ran out this year around March, I think. 😳
