Noah's Room Revamp Reveal

Anna's room was the first one we redid over the last few weeks, but we are still waiting on her window valance to come before I can reveal the finished product.  Noah's room was mainly a new paint color, so his reveal is less involved. Also, his new curtains came today.  Ergo, he goes first!

For the last two years, this has been the status and set of his room.  You can click on this link for more pics/angles.  Basically, boy room with green walls.  Josh and I are tired of the green walls and how they don't match a thing in his room anymore.  Also, that color paired with yellow light at night makes it feel so cave-ish and dark.  I hate that.

Nothing a fresh coat of paint can't fix though.  It's been a long time coming!  These walls were painted green almost 9 years ago when we moved in.  Wow!  See here this little glimpse into 2.5 year old Noah's room back then ...  Since then, he has moved into the front room that is now Lasa's and then back into his original room once we started fostering.

Josh has deemed June his month for painting, and he means it.  He is checking rooms off his list and swears he will not lift a paint brush again after this.  :}  He tackled Noah's room in one weekend alone with a fresh, light grayish blue - instant improvement.  As well, we moved out a few shelves, patched a few spots on the wall, moved the Wii into his room again, set up a much-needed Nerf display board, and finally got the boy some decent window treatments.  Voila!

I just keep remarking how much easier on the eyes this paint color is. I love it! Wish we had done it years ago! Noah, who was against this room re-do from the start (stuck in his ways much?), says he loves it, too, and that his favorite parts of his room are the paint color (thankyouverymuch), having his Legos consolidated to one side of his room, the new curtains, and the new mats in the corner for playing toy soldiers and building. He is thankful for that protected space that Lasa can't get to as easily as she could when those things were downstairs. I love that he loves his refreshed space. 😍

So fun! I'm sure it feels good to be crossing projects off your list! And I wish I lived closer because I LOVE to paint. :-)
