Goodness, I am behind! I blame it on a busy holiday weekend and on my poor back. I yanked my hip into some sort of disarray two weekends ago after finishing another dang coat of paint on one of Anna's room redo shelves ... that, truth-be-told, I painted all wonky standing up but bending over and reaching backwards. Don't ask. The pain didn't happen suddenly, but took me down hour by hour that same evening til I was hobbling and moaning everywhere I went ... which ended up being a lot of places that night because we went furniture shopping. HA!
So, Memorial Day weekend ... started out like that ... painting shelves, hurting back, then furniture shopping sans kiddos because we dropped them off at our church's Parents Night Out shindig. Josh and I hit up three different stores looking for a sectional with recliners. The first storem BF Meyers, ended up being a homerun of a destination and we only hit the other two to be sure of ourselves. We also went to dinner and ran a couple errands before picking up the kids. By the time we got home, I was really, really, really sure I had done a number on my back. I alerted Josh to the fact that he was likely going to be painting Anna's room on his own. Boo!
Josh ended up doing MANY things on his own that weekend because I was good for NOTHING and needed to take the chance to lay down and be still and heal before he went back to work. That weekend, he did so many coats of paint in Anna's room, returned to the furniture store to order our new stuff, took all the kids to Anna's baseball game, managed Lasa with the kids' help, fielded calls and visitors to the house for people looking to buy our old sectional I listed on selling sites, and even took the kids to the new pool in town for their grand opening weekend.
Some pics of all that stuff I just described that I wanted to keep here - phases of Anna's room getting redone (which still isn't quite done yet), our old sectional (now sold) and our new stuff (which is huge and too big to have used in sectional format again) and fun new pool pics!
The good news is that a lot of ibuprofen and rest worked wonders and I was mostly back to normal functioning by Tuesday when Josh went back to work. Planning to hit up the chiropractor this week, too, just for good measure for a lingering twinge I am still dealing with.

Good for you for being wise enough to not continue to aggravate your back.
Kudos to your hubby for stepping up and filling in.
Hope your chiro visit brings sweet relief and you can fully engage in summer with your tribe.
