More Holiday Things

The house - all wreathed - and the tree - all lit!

Redeemer's Annual Women's Christmas Gathering - sweet evening, sweet fellowship!

Josh got an early Christmas gift - a bigger TV via a super Black Friday deal.  50 inches this time, which helps since our couches are pretty far away from the screen.  Which means we sold our perfectly good TV that we have had since we moved here.  But we sold it like lightening, so yay!  Bye, good Sony!  You served us well!

On another of our holiday days off of school, we went to a movie.  But before the movie, we visited with a friend.  Noah was itching to hold sweet Thaddeus as long as he could!  And I managed to pull a grin or two out of sweet boy myself.

Gallatin Christmas Parade.  This might be our last time to do this so-called "parade".  Josh and I laughed the whole way home about how disappointing the event is every year, and yet we get all up in the holiday spirit and go sit in the cold to see it and it is always the same ... more company vehicles than not that slap a wreath on the front and call it parade worthy. Ha!  There were a few floats and singers, a marching band, some clowns that Lasa dreaded, the mayor made her appearance and a couple performers went by, but mostly ... it was us freezing to death to watching company ads drive thru.  😏  Josh and I were ready to leave early, but Lasa was determined to see Santa on the last "float."  He came just in time!

And finally, the mail!  It's so much more fun to check the mail during the holidays.  Wall is starting to fill up!

You keep taking those kiddos to those small hometown parades.
Disappointing? Maybe.
But, there's something quaint and special about them. A sense of community and belonging.

Your wreaths are beautiful on the house!
