Tried this sweetie pie style from Pinterest. I even shared our finished product in a natural hair group I am in on FB and it got some love. So reassuring!
Fresh out of the bath on wash day. She's the cutest - bebopping down the stairs all grinny and giggly and giddy to feel her hair down and bouncy and so moisturized. If only it wouldn't shrink up so much after drying! So back into protective styles we do right away ... after our trusty LOC routine (liquid, oil, cream) in the hair chair.
My favorite quick go to style because it's so simple and quick and so cute, but mannnnn, the dryness and breakage when i take it down. Such a bummer!
Copycat style I saw in that natural hair group - four twists up front in two big sections and a bunch of individual box twists in back. Turned out so cute! The second day of this 'do I popped some bows on the front two sections and it was the cutest! She loves these styles more and more because she can feel her hair hanging down, swishing back and forth when she moves. ;)
I should have taken a shot for you of her hair stretched flat - it has gotten long! Next time maybe...

Thanks! Yes, the headbands have become a real staple. Some days just to lay her edges til the gel dries, but most days they stay on anyway because they are a cute accent. 😍
