Presents and Cake at 10

Anna already enjoyed her birthday first - that girls' getaway weekend - and a couple presents that were needed early for that whole affair, but we did save a few gifts for the actual birthday.  And then we went ahead and did presents the weekend before her actual birthday. HA!  Never fear -  we saved cake and dinner out for her actual, actual, actual birthday on the 25th ... even if it WAS a Tuesday.  We called a school holiday just to sweeten the pot. ;)

Josh made a book for Anna spanning her whole life thus far and included all the birthday letters I have written thus far within it.  She was SMITTEN with the gift.

This shirt screams the birthday girl.

Poring over her new book.

Birthday pic on the actual, actual day. ;)  Isn't she lovely?  Look Ma, all ten fingers.

The best kind of birthday girls ... make their own cakes.

And they let their little sister "help" and they gussy her all up in cook attire to make the experience rich for her.  Bless.

Happy-hearted sigh at the grin on her face while we sang. So precious.

Anna is working on her birthday survey answers and I have a birthday letter still to write.  We'll get those posted here this weekend hopefully.  (I don't know if you can tell, but this September took the wind out of my blogging sails.  I have no idea why!)
