Dreamy Week in the 70s

Last week, we had a heavenly warp of wonderful temps in the 70s alllll week.  So we took advantage by spending all sorts of time outside, around town, and in the yard.   One day, tennis and wandering and chalk at the neighborhood park.

Lots of bunny sessions, of course!  We are almost in the clear of the window for any baby bunnies to come along after our gender identity snafu with Shade last month.  One bun in particular, Valley, has started a nest, but only started.  Fingers crossed its a false pregnancy behavior.  If it's the real deal, there should be babies within days ... and I don't want talk about it if it is. Grrrr.

The garden is picking up speed ... berries for days and tomatoes are starting to roll in, nice and ripe.

From garden to smoothie in minutes.

All the outside time afforded me some views of pretty skies, of course...

Another day we landed at Bledsoe Creek State Park for creek play and playground romping with buds.

And finally, a birthday party with all manner of outside fun, just as the air turned hot again.

It was too mild to do any swimming at all, which was so weird.  We did start catching our first fireflies though!  We made another Pelican's Snoballs run one night.  And bedtimes keep getting later and later.  Summer delirium sweetly setting in. Except for the morning work I keep assigning for the kids and the video game minutes that keep getting SLASHED for ridiculous sibling squabbling - ha!
