This big girl was clearly too cool for school last night at her Pre-K Registration and Health Fair. Ha! I cannot believe we are doing a five-day a week pre-kindergarten for her, but believe it I must. It's a really great and FREE opportunity for her as a teacher's kid, so we will see how this goes! She will be reporting to Lebanon Special School District with her daddy full-time!
Josh picked a different woman for Lasa's Pre-K teacher than the one pictured below, though the one pictured below from her assigned school is cute as a button. Ha!
Lasa will be at Sam Houston Elementary and we are so thrilled that her
teacher is another person of color - Mrs Lataka Officer. Representation
matters for any minority, but especially for one being raised as a transracial adoptee. Thankful!!
Clearly, the state-funded Pre-K program is the real deal! I am betting she will be over-prepared for Kindergarten just like Noah was.
Josh worked the Pre-K and Kinder registration all day anyway, so I just dropped Lasa off with him and he took her through all the stations.
