Kimmie vs. Kitchen

I have hit a TO-TAL brick wall when it comes to cooking lately.  Not only do I not WANT to cook, I flat out WON'T cook ... well, I won't cook anything that takes longer than 15 minutes to prepare anyway.  It's guess the heat is just getting to me this summer as well as the busy, busy days.  However, for some strange reason, I got an itchin' for the kitchen this week and made/added all of the following new things to my cooking repertoire:

Cucumber Dill Sandwiches (thank you, Kristin!)
Chili Mac (thank you, Emily!)
Fruit Salsa
Guacamole
BBQ Meatloaf
Tomato Cream Cheese Crackers (ok, this one's not really new, I just love this snack that much!)

And then our neighbor brought us some dinner from a leftover lunch surplus they had and it was definitely new to our palate:  Ratatouille.  Did anyone but me NOT know this was a real food?  Anyway, Josh scarfed it, eggplant and all.

And I know this doesn't technically count as "kitchen" but I have been serving up a LOT of tomatoes and cucumbers to our family and friends.  So far my tomato/cucumber deliveries include: Cindy, Kristin, Jill, Melanie, the Cushmans, the Barils x3, and of course us Browns. :)  And I'm pretty sure we're gonna share the wealth with the Dady's, Ms. Pauline, and Noah's allergy shot nurse, Mrs. Millie next week, too.

Ugh, I've just been sitting here waiting for inspiration to strike. We ate lunch in town and hopefully everyone is still pretty full and we can just do sandwiches for supper. Pass on any new recipes you've got. I menu planned our entire week, but it just doesn't have that WOW factor. Envious of your little garden. Good for you for sharing! I love it when someone drops us off fresh-from-the-garden produce. :)

Have you ever thought about doing E-Mealz?

Actually, I have been using e-Mealz for the past year - trying three different subscription types along the way. In fact, I just let my subscription lapse this month because I just wasn't using hardly any of the recipes ... then again, maybe I should have gone back to the Publix menu option only. The Any-Store menu and the low card menus just fell flat as far as our interests went. Do you do emealz, too?

Don't tell e-meals, but some of the earlier recipes I posted came from that. ;O
