Noah started using the men's restroom - THIS being the first door upon which I stalked til he emerged again. It was so nerve wrecking for me, I may not let him do it again. How in the world would I help him if he needed me?!
The kids got their very own skates and we took them out for a spin.
We enjoyed the sunny weather, but not the heat.
Noah had a brief chat with Tania again. This is the second time he's done it. He got real shy this time.
We set out a few flags. Memo to me: get more flags and get bigger flags for next year.
We saved a LOT of money using magnetic paint for Noah's map wall instead of buying very large magnet boards for the same purpose.
We dressed the "4th of July" part. The kids are still a little unsure what all the fuss is about, but for the most part, they get that it's our country's birthday.
We took in some local fireworks one night early.
We really enjoyed it.
The traffic jam to exit the parking lot, not so much.
Then, on the REAL 4th of July, we headed out to spend the evening with some friends and do a little fireworking of our own. Sadly, I continue to be an incompetent fireworks photographer.
I did capture some sparklers shots, though!
Fireworks or no, the real crowd pleaser this night was the company. Truth be told, these four hardly looked up during the fireworks the daddies lit. They were too busy running, swinging, playing, and catching fireflies all night.

Noah also gave me a mild heart attack when I got wind of a certain "I'll-show-you-mine-if-you-show-me-yours" moment he took part in, but that's another story altogether. : O

What a fun weekend!
So curious about that story. ;)
awe! What a fun 4th of July weekend! We did some fireworks too like last year....they were pretty good :) Then we came home and watched all our neighbors fireworks last night.
Anna doesn't look like she's sold on the sparklers...
