February dealt me a sucker punch that I am still sort of shell-shocked from. Josh's parenting plan of 50/50 custody of Lasa was granted and not without the judge saying some unfair and untrue things he assumed about me. I think his comments were harder to swallow than his ruling. But swallow it, I have. Keeping on in this hard unbelievable valley - that finds me sometimes strong and sometimes gagging from crying so hard. Pray for me! There is still the judge's ruling on alimony and attorney's fees waiting to be decided on.
Anyway, here are some February highlights despite the low of the court date outcome that overshadows the whole month. Anna got to go to ATL with a friend to see Hamilton; it was awesome. Valentine's Day goodies. Bunco. Bright spots of warm air here and there. Kitty therapy. Visits with Lucy, the daughter of our friends (and landlords), Molly and Allen. Lots of Lasa. I introduced the girls to Sound of Music. Finally got some curtains up in my bedroom and it's amazing how something so simple really fixes up a space just right. Anna drove a million hours in our quest to get her 50 hours in so she can get her hardship license in March. We took a weekend trip to AL and cousins and family was just what we needed to recover after court. Dear friends literally held us up with food deliveries and gifts and flowers when I needed it most. Anna attended a Discipleship Now weekend on the other side of Nashville and loved it again this year. Anna's car had to go to the shop and it hurt. 💸
Oh yeah, I sort of joined up with a Community Group again for the first time this school year ... and I have also taken on memorizing Romans 12 along with the ladies in that group.
