End of School Year Report

Amidst the heartache and pain of the last six weeks, we plodded along to make it to the end of our school year.  Anna completed her freshman year, Noah his sophomore.  Droppings pics of the curricula/classes we checked off the list this year.  I regret not having the heart or focus to be able to go into all the details like I normally do.  Rolling with the punches ...

For Modern World History, we used Beautiful Feet curriculum and made our way through a LOT of text and literature and heavy topics.  This curriculum is so lit heavy and so involved it is actually good for 1.5 credits, so Noah and Anna will do the remaining texts we didn't get to (not pictured) in the fall to complete that lit half credit.

ACE Spanish 1.

VideoText Interactive for a year of Geometry.  Quite possibly, Anna's most hated class ever.

For Bible, we dove into all of Proverbs, memorized Psalm 51 and Philippians 2:1-18, and completed these two unit studies and this devotional to fill in some time gaps.

For ENG 2, Noah and Anna took a class at Legacy again.  These are some resources involved with all of that work and a number of novels including Screwtape Letters, Night, Pilgrim's Progress, and To Kill a Mockingbird.  They also did a poetry unit but I forgot to include that book of poems in this pic.

For BIO 2, both kiddos took the course at Legacy.  They covered so much cool stuff and did really great dissections and labs - fetal pigs, sheep heart, cow eye, sheep brain all jump to mind first.

Noah logged school credit for Work Experience this year.  And they both logged in their PE credit too thanks to a local homeschool high school PE class they participated in every Friday.  Anna hated it,  HA!

Our annual last day of school brunch and we are tapping out for the year.  (Full disclosure, there are some remaining geometry and spanish lessons to get to ... we'll work those in as summertime maintenance.)

It is hard to know what the coming months will bring us, but so far we plan to continue homeschooling in the fall, divorce or not.  I'll be scoping out part-time jobs along that way, so pray for favor and great direction from the Lord in this.  Thank you!
