February's Festivities

Our fave February thing was that we escaped for a long weekend to Gatlinburg and had the best time away together.  We took in our fave mountain coaster, explored the Cades Cove area, went putt-putting, go-karting, swimming, and then hit up Ober Gatlinburg for ice bumper cars and snow tubing.

This guy got in his first interstate driving practice on the trip.

Valentines goodies.

Latest puzzle we have in the works and another that Lasa did herself.

I had another dang Moh's surgery on another dang spot of basal cell carcinoma there on the side of my nose.  This is the healing scar I have at the moment.  Hoping it will lessen as time goes by.  I hear there is a steroid injection in my future too to help it along.  In other news, I have already had another biopsy since this surgery, further down on the same side of my nose.  Outlook not good.  If that comes back positive for more basal cell carcinoma, the surgeon recommends radiation for that location instead.  We shall see!

Noah and Anna getting into some dissections in Biology 1 at Legacy.

These two also experienced their first ever Escape Room with their buddy Colman and family and LJ, our youth pastor.  They had a blast!

Great reads this month.  I will be in Fighting Words a good bit longer as it's more a devotional than a read cover to cover book.  I read a couple novels too.

Josh, gearing up for Spring, picking up materials for the chicken coop that is almost ready.

On an evening walk with the littlest down to the creek.

Anna has gotten in Rubix cubing and is really fast now!  It's impressive.

Was a delight to hear from Angelique again this month.

Josh's many babies that are thriving in his basement greenhouse - especially those chestnut trees taking root and sprouting.  He has planted me some delphinium that I can't wait to see and plant in our front landscaping this spring.  He also has strawberries started.

Some new peach trees for his orchard.

We tried our hand at flat ironing Lasa's hair again for the second time ever.  It is a whole day affair.  She was over it by the end, but she sure does love seeing her length all stretched out.

Speaking of hair, we tried our hand at cutting Noah's hair at home for the second time ever too.  First time without Emily to hold our hands.  Went ok!

Also, this fave meme from lately...
