January Happenings

We about melted into the New Year with record highs in Nashville of mid 70s, even up to 78!  It was so annoying to be running the AC over Christmas break.  But finally, finally the cool air came right after 2022 arrived ... and it brought snow and frost and more snow.

Trio at work in Minecraft.

Another day, another bunny or two visiting inside.

Few puzzles we cranked out this month...

This City Doors puzzle was 1000 pieces and had one blasted piece missing in the end.  Anna saved the day and painstakingly created a replacement from scratch to fill the spot.  Perfection!  I love it even more because of that.

Snow Days pics...

Random cake making session.  Anna says cakes are more fun when it's just for no reason.  I think she is right!

Headed out for some airsoft gun wars.

Movie night to see Redeeming Love with friends from church/Bunco.

Anna had her bottom two wisdom teeth removed.

When the food is just too pretty NOT to take a picture of.

When it's snowy outside still, but you also homeschool.  Ha!  Squeezing in a few lessons before heading out to sled.

I keep on walking and doing my Faster Way program.  Josh is also tracking his blood sugar for the doctor and has basically overhauled his entire diet.  He has lost almost 30 lbs in two months!  Me, notsomuch.  NOT fair.  But keeping on anyway.  Planning to adjust my macros this month and see if I notice any changes.

Oh yeah, I had that Moh's surgery to remove the  basal call carcinoma on my nose. Both surgeons (the Moh's surgeon and the plastic surgeon) warned me to be VERY proactive about my skin going forward, warning me that it's not a good sign to have had two of these so young.  I thought I WAS being careful.  I avoid the sun entirely!  Oy.  Now on to some chemotherapy creams and something called Blue Light Therapy.  Gotta find a new dermatologist first as the current one I see is not coming back from her maternity leave now.  Always something!

Mid-procedure before they had to come back and do another round of cutting. Ugh.

Day 1

Day 7

Stitches out.

I leave you with some Lasa publications from this month.  All the cuteness one blog post can stand!  Get a load of that ilushgatib (illustrated) spelling.  Kimmie loves!

This last one was the Salon she set up, complete with offerings of aroma, hair, massage, relaxation, nails and food (sandwiches, waffles, peaches, pickles (because, of course) and bread.
