There is a BIG chance this will be the kiddos' last year visiting Santa.
Honestly, we almost didn't bother this year, but decided to squeeze in one more magic memory because, technically, they do still believe in the big guy.

The kids were happy to go, but truth be told, the excitement was quite lacking, the enchantment has almost entirely disappeared about this tradition. And really, it's time. They ARE 8.5 and 6. And more and more of the kids they come in contact with know the truth and cast enough doubt with their comments; I am STUNNED that Noah especially hasn't finally declared his doubt, bless his heart. He did ask if this is the real Santa or a helper Santa and he has a keen eye for comparing the faces of different Santas and pics he sees still, but I am afraid he is gonna make us have to actually say it ourselves. I don't want to, but it's coming to that. Here's ho-ho-hoping they decide for themselves before it comes to that next year. :} Precious memories, still, in the meantime.
For the record, Anna asked for an Easy Bake Oven which amused Santa. He said he hadn't heard that one in a long time. And Noah asked for a surprise and a Zoo Lou character for his Wii Skylanders game. Check and check!

Noah looks so YOUNG here! Maybe it's his smile! I don't know. WE haven't gone to see Santa in a while...ah well.
Could be the weird coloring of the cheap photo paper they charged us $11.50 for. Ha!
almost looks like a paint by number type of picture!
