Stopping Time

Tomorrow is supposed to be Noah's 6th birthday.  I say supposed to be because it's just possible his birthday will have to be cancelled.  I am WAY behind the eight ball this year. I have not written his birthday letter, I haven't wrapped his presents, and I don't even really have a solid plan for tomorrow.  No friends have been invited, no balloons are stashed away, and I'm pretty sure we don't even have candles for the cake.

What is wrong with me?!

Wait.  Wait.  I think I know.  I think I am subconsciously trying to keep him my little boy a little longer by just not making way for the necessary birthday accoutrements.  I'm pretending I can stop time.

Don't laugh.  This growing up thing really tugs at the heartstrings.

From tomorrow on, he'll have to use TWO hands to show how old he is!  It burns, y'all.  Burns.

Girl, get busy!
Hope he has an awesome birthday today! If you can't get it all done today continue the celebration into the weekend. I'm sure he won't mind the extended attention for his big day.

Well, that's for sure. The birthday tribute letter will surely be late! But, we did at least get busy wrapping stuff last night and we rearranged the guest room a smidge to accommodate his biggest surprise. And I did swing by WalMart last night while Anna was at dance to rectify the balloon and candle deficit. :} When he woke up this morning, there were balloons all over his floor. What fun!

You'll have to wait and see! But I'll give you a clue ... it's a Christmas overflow present.

Just barely.... And I still have a letter to write. Thank goodness I can edit the post date when I finally press publish. :)
