Tid Bits

I snatched up this sweetie pie swimsuit for Anna off Girlfriend's Trading Post and as soon as I put it in Anna's hands she said, "{Gasp} It's beautiful!  It's wike a giraffe's baving suit!"

On a completely different note, I am resigning from my spot in the dog loving community.  It's been coming for awhile actually.  Chewie is only still alive and with us because I fear for Noah if he were to find the dog had been burned alive while he was away at school,  which is how I would like to kill him for peeing in my bed twice in a single week.

I think both my kiddos are having growth spurts and I love it! Just in time for spring/summer consignment season.  I signed up for one of the sales today, in fact.

Noah got his second 9 wks report card.  So pleased with how well he receives his instruction and keeps up.

Speaking of school, did I tell you I pulled Anna out of MDO in December? I did.  And she may stay by my side til Kindergarten the way things are looking.  And by then, I may just home school ... BOTH of them.  Can't even believe I am allowing it to even approach my radar, but I find that I am.  I don't know.

We got free tickets to a Predators game this weekend.  So we headed downtown and also ate out at Old Spaghetti Factory.  It was a wonderful night out with the kids!  I was surprised they did so well staying up 3 HOURS past their bedtimes, but they did.

What's up? Are you displeased with the schools, teachers, curriculum or a little of all of it? I know you would do well with the home-schooling
but is that what you really want?

So funny, I could totally see you homeschooling. I could totally not do it myself, but you have the teaching abilities...AND you enjoyed teaching before, you are so creative and could really do it and do it full force, with pleasure.

Are you really considering it? Maybe try it for the Pre-K level with Anna and see how you like it. I mean really, she could be learning phonics already. Nat's in K-3 and she's learning phonics already! Mastered the Alphabet, upper and lower. You should totally do it for Pre-K...then you get to have extra time with her too.

*capital and lower case* not upper and lower, lol! :/

Still simmering on the idea ... I just don't know... Not necessarily displeased with our school, just not over the top crazy about it either ... lots of factors ... still stunned that homeschooling is looking appealing ... You just never know. How's that for unclear? :)

Yeah, Emily ... Anna's pre-k options are what having me thinking about it to start with...

well do you have any homeschooling friends? I have one that uses Veritas curriculum and swears by it, I think that's how it's spelled anyway. Just be looking into it before you feel stressed trying to decide which curriculum to go with. Seems like there are a lot of options.

I think you're going to :)

Such an adorable bathing suit.

So intrigued by your homeschooling thoughts... but not surprised one bit. I think if I was in your shoes I'd be having the same thoughts myself. There are only so many days / years that you get to spend with N & A, and it is so, so fun to be the biggest influencer, the one who introduces them to ever-so-many new ideas and concepts, and to see firsthand their excitement in learning. It's what I loved about teaching other people's children. And I can see why it would be appealing to you. :)

Oh, Elizabeth - you described that so refreshingly. Just like that, you put a beautiful spin on what I worry is just me turning into such a control freak over my children that I can't even let them go to school like the normal people. I really, really like the heart and the way you described it better. :) I'm gonna go with your answer.

I can totally picture you successfully homeschooling. I mean, when I saw your FB inquiry the other day, it struck me as a positive thing for you...just a good feeling that you'd do well with it.:-) I'll pray for ya chica!
