Set Your Mind

I was encouraging a friend yesterday to combat negative thoughts and anxiety with staying her mind on the Father and trusting Him in that.  I shared with her a verse about this that I also love for me because it encourages me in my Steadfastness project this year.  I actually keep the pic on my phone for ready and quick reference.  It's from a local blogger/Bible journaler/adoptive and foster momma I follow, Laura with Pitter Patter Art

I say all this because I have been meaning for months to update the scripture chalkboard I keep in the living room.  And then tonight I spotted another similarly-themed verse on Pinterest that didn't look at all intimidating for me to try to copy.  I knew I had my next chalkboard verse!  I knocked it out pretty quickly and am happy with how it turned out.

I also love how within minutes my kids were eager to see the new scripture I had selected, how they were rolling the words off their tongues, how they were pondering the message.  Really thinking about it.  I love how this reminder will be in the heart of our home ... likely for awhile considering how long it takes me to stop and update it again. HA!

God's word to us is just so great.  Such an anchor!
