Josh and the kids got directions online for an otherwise $400 set. They built the whole thing themselves over the course of a few weeks using bricks we already own ... with the exception of a few specialty pieces they ordered to fill in some gaps. It's just awesome and I am so impressed with their accomplishment! Pic and video to follow ..

A Sweet Friday Wander
Just thankful for a Friday wander where we took the day off school because - whattheheck, Sumner County is on Spring Break all around us and the air was calling us out. Thankful for sweet company along that way. Cathy and kids met us for picnic and playground and slow ambling and creek play at Bledsoe Creek State Park. Souls were refreshed in such simple carefree down time. Thank you, Lord!
One bonus shot at the neighborhood park later that evening after a few rounds of tennis where Noah put us all to shame. Thankful I get to push this one on swings in her little years just like I did ten years ago for a couple others the Lord gave us.
An Anna Cut
Annagirl got a few inches cut off her hair ... it's so lovely! She's been doing a much better job of taking care of her hair this past year.
Dollywood and Then Some
Last weekend we made our first ever trip to Dollywood and it was a great time altogether! So pleased with the mini vacay it provided. We are glad to have season passes so we can enjoy the destination a few more times this year at least, too. We also hit up Aquarium of the Smokies in Gatlinburg while in the area as well as Dolly Parton's Stampede Dinner Show. Sharing just our most favorite pics of all the fun!
We LOVED our humble hotel accommodations at All Season Suites found via Groupon at a killer rate. Loved being in a suite with a kitchen and 2 rooms in which to spread out for just $50ish a night! Not a lot of polish, but plenty of room and conveniences. And free hot breakfast to boot!

And a few of Stampede, not because we loved it but just because we did it. In Stampede's defense, Anna and Lasa LOVED it.
We are already planning our next trip ... hopefully in late April ... to get as close to Noah's birthday in early May as possible. Only marching order this time is that we DO NOT go on a weekend. The traffic and crowds were miserable on the weekend - markedly different than the lovely Friday we spent at the park. Being herded in slow crowds is not our jam. Luckily, those can be avoided easily with strategic trip planning. 😬
