For my birthday, I told Josh I would really just enjoy having my car detailed inside and out. So Josh made it happen! He found a great group of guys who come and do the whole operation right there in your driveway (or parking lot at work). They spent four solid hours making my car look nicer than it did the day we bought it used from the Toyota dealership. We all love it! Even the kids are being protective of the new and novel spic-and-span cleanness. ;)
Along the big cleaning way, a bunch of people got notices from the HOA that our mailboxes needed cleaning. Our was included in that sweep and indeed it did. As it happens, we have a friend in our Community Group who owns a house cleaning business and he recently approached us about doing our house and driveway. Our siding needed a clean anyway, so Josh got the house done by James and while I cringe at spending the money, whatcanyado? He did a good job and I posted about his business on our neighborhood page in exchange for the good-sized discount he did make happen for us. Some before and afters to follow. Our house and driveway and mailbox do look brighter and cleaner than we have ever seen it.
Before/After pairs:
Next up in terms of cleaning up and settling in this house for another good chunk of time is pricing out a tankless hot water heater and getting some new flooring for the stairs and upstairs. Ugh! Such chores. We have a local flooring group coming out tomorrow to measure. Wish us luck on both these needed hassles! Thankful for tax return cash.
