We did a little respite care for a sweet JJ dollbaby this past week/weekend. That took my kid count up to FOUR, which means my baby count was up to TWO at a time. Oh y'all. This was a trip!
But we made it happen and it went better than Anna feared it would. HA! Anna's concern was valid. Kimmie makes no bones about not being the most baby-oriented person in the world. But Kimmie also makes no bones about how thankful she has been for our friends, the Tuckers, providing us kind and welcome respite care for Lasa several times over the past year. I would not have taken on a fourth kiddo for anyone BUT the Tuckers, honestly, so I was adamant that we get to be the ones to take care of Lilly for them for a change. It helped that it was our Fall Break, too, and that Josh would be home early Wednesday and all day Friday. 😉
Lillybaby came home with us on Wednesday and stayed through Saturday. You have never seen a more content and quiet baby. My biggest takeaway from our time with her is how AMAZING her Babywise routine is. Like, clockwork easy. I was really impressed. REALLY impressed.
Anyway, get a load of this squishy bundle of goodness we snuggled all weekend! Noah was SUCH a help handling and appeasing her whenever she needed attention or a change in scenery. Lasa was quite interested in baby herself, though at first she was quite annoyed that someone else was sitting in my lap.
