Swingset Upgrade

The kids had a wish for bigger, higher swinging swings.  Josh had a vision to make the whole thing shift sideways so it is in shade of the tree in the afternoon.  All these things were realized in the swingset's latest update PLUS some.  What follows are pics of the progression.  Too bad I didn't get a decent "before" shot.  By the time I noticed it was time to document, Josh had already dismantled the swing arm of it and moved it.

There are rock wall pieces on those left side poles now (because Anna said she needed more of a challenge than the small climbing wall on the tower), three swings, one bar, two climbing ropes, the tower with stairs and slide and climbing wall, a rope ladder into the tree where there is a perch and more ladder steps up into a crow's nest, a disc swing and twisty bar under the tree and the remains of the original swing set part over on the right with the teeter-totter type swing that Lasa didn't want us to get rid of just yet.  Also, new timbers all the way around, two stories high this time, and fresh mulch and bark within.  Lasa's little pebble pit has been removed under the tower and a picnic table is going to be installed under there, with chalkboard paint surface, I am told.  And finally, something along the lines of a hammock between the tower and the tree is still coming, if not a climbing net to connect the two.

Reallllly happy with the upgrade and sideways slide/shift.  Fun fact, the shift makes room for next summer's pool plans.  Putting ALL THE THINGS in this here back yard apparently. 😬

He doesn't seem to sit still this summer, at least. I keep reminding him it's ok to sit still sometimes. He did yesterday after church actually! HA!
