Concerning Mother's Day

I struggled to find perky words to share on Mother's Day.  It's been like this for years ... even the years before the estrangement, which I think was worse to endure than the years since.  It's a day that makes me feel so many things in so many directions - some things joyful, some things quiet and deep, some things sore and painful. But these three?

Oh my stars, these three. God's goodness to me. What dear and precious gifts! Best things I have ever done. Happy Mother's Day every day of the year.

I was on my back all day with a hurt hip from a goofy twist/bend the day before, so it was a really slow and low-key holiday this year.  My loves surprised me with movie tickets, movie candy, and a homemade Lego penholder. :}  Because I hurt too much to go out to eat this year, pizza was delivered to me on the couch.  I felt right at home and at peace with my peeps.  Good day!

In other Mother's Day news, Noah got to chat on the phone with his birthparents, Tania and Justin, and his birthgrandmother, Elba.  Glad for that!  Unfortunately, we did not hear from Lasa's momma about our offer to visit with her that day.  She did call on Monday, so there's that at least. Maybe next week!

Hugs across the miles.

I still hold out hope for a restored relationship.
If not the Lord has blessed you with a great hubby, sweetie pie kiddos, and some in-laws who think you're pretty great.

Yes, thank you! I focus on those things when I wanna pout over what isn't. The Lord and his goodness is more than enough.
