2015/2016 in the Books

Welp, we finally got there - to the end of this school year.  Been clawing our way to the end for a month, but we finally, finally made it.  Our third year homeschooling, my first year homeschooling TWO kiddos, and our first school year with newborn-turned-baby-turned-curious-cat-crawler - Whoa!  We did it.   First Grade, check! Third Grade, check! Kept the baby alive and happy, check! Moment of silence please and one giant sigh of relief to have reached the finish line.

Along with the year end, last week the kiddos took a bow at their co-op awards ceremony.  Anna came home with the Writing All Star Award and Noah came home with the Award for Friendliest.  Proud momma right here!

That same week we hit the zoo with friends.  Cuz homeschooling rocks like that. Field trips for life!!

And then this week we took it slow, but we took on our last three curricular days to get ourselves to 180 days of school!  We started the year eating doughnuts, so it was only right that we bookend the year doing the same.

Homeschool Brown 2015/16, signing off!  We out! (except for a few more field trips coming up, but whatevs... like I said, fieldtripsforlife!)

woo hoo!!! Feels good to be done. Though technically we only did 176 days. AL has no required days of school, but cover schools suggest/recommend 160 days....so we consider that more than sufficient ;) ha!
