The kiddos enjoyed an active Spring Break last week finding themselves hanging out with friends or going places every single day of the week. The first weekend of Spring Break, Josh took the kids to Opryland Hotel and OpryMills just to take in the sights again.
Sunday was monopolized by visit drama with Lasa's momma which I will report on later. Monday had Claire and Ben coming over for a devoted Minecraft play session. It was noisy and it was fun! Truefact, Josh played with the kids. Minecraft is his jam.
Tuesday found us at park with our regular neighborhood crew after having some friends from our homeschool co-op, Amy and her kiddos Brody, Mallory, and Sam) come over to play. Wednesday found us in yet another beautiful spring day at another new-ish park in our area with Cindy, Kristin, Cathy and all their kiddos.
We played for hoursssssssss and only left when we did because Lasa was over it by then. Ha!
Thursday, I left town for a homeschool convention so Josh took off work to keep the kids. It was a rainy day, so they beelined for the movie theater to see Zootopia after dropping Lasa off with friends for the weekend. Little did the kids know, Josh would have them work three hours later on to clean out and reorganize the garage. Bwahahahahaha! Friday was the highlight of the kids' Spring Break plans ... they went kayaking with friends from church, the Mosleys, then out to lunch with them at Top Hog. Noah got to try out his new kayak he got for Christmas. First time going solo! That's him out yonder (yes, yonder) in the neon green kayak.
Later on, they rigged up an outdoor movie, enjoyed campfire smores, and, accordingly, camped out on the back porch to finish things off right.
It wouldn't be a complete night for my people without a little hot tub sittin' as well.
It was freezing, but my people stayed out alllll night.
Saturday, Josh shuttled the kids all over town to baseball practice and/or sewing class.
They went out to eat at Steak N Shake and watched another movie on the porch that night, too.
Sunday, after church, Josh and the kids beelined it to Nashville to break in our newly renewed membership to the zoo. We haven't been in well over a year now.
They kicked off their zoo run with a ride on the new zipline - the kids even rode it by themselves, though Josh said Anna was a little white and dazed when she got off. Ha!
All in all a low-key, local, low-expense, but lovely Spring Break! Counting down to Summer Break big time now. I know MY brain is half checked-out already. :} We have three weeks and some change left to wrap up ...

Shooweee!!! Does Josh ever stop?! I would be flat exhausted after all that activity! And he did it for several days! Good for him!!
Seriously! Just thinking about their agenda wore me out ... And made me feel bad because I know I wouldn't have done all that in my own. Josh rocks the Dad scene. Also, they had to pack it all in since they were baby free.
