Before Hittin' the Road

Just a few more parting shots in my last post before Christmas.  Also, I am procrastinating finishing up the last of the packing. :}  Josh and the kids added more track to the train set...

It's taking over the living room little by little.

And while snapping those pics, I just got caught up in our pretty tree and the bounty beneath it.  So thankful for simple and fun gifts to give and receive this holiday.

Also, I love all the wrapping paper colors and designs I have this year, especially the hand-crafted art of Anna's in there. ♥

This shot has been my December.  Really, really, really rambunctious kiddos.

We finished up our Jesse tonight, a few days early, so we wouldn't have to pack it all for the trip.  Thinking about trying a new Jesse Tree guide next year, but this one we've done for three years now has been special to us.  Our first years doing this tradition.  We really, really love the practice and how much more meaning/teaching in injects into the celebration of Christ's first coming!

We managed to eek our way through this month without any germs, which is saying a lot because we have lost count of how many friends all around us have been struck and struck hard.  Three cheers for vitamins, double doses of eldberry for months, sanitizing like crazy, zinc tablets when we felt iffy, and just the good fortune of our dumb luck.  Also, prayer.  Humble, begging, pleading prayer. Ha!

Merry Christmas, all!
