Friday we got together with my friend Kelli and her son Weston
and headed to downtown Nashville to picnic and play at Cumberland Park. It was a fun little spot to spend the day.

The kids jumped,
slid,
climbed,
splashed,
and soaked in the sun.
Then we took a quick stroll over a bridge that crosses the Cumberland River overlooking a popular Nashville skyline.
We melted a little in the heat, got home in time to cool off, nap, and then head back out for Noah's t-ball closing ceremony.
My little slugger getting his medal (which was a slight letdown; he thought he was getting a trophy).
It's been a fun sporting season for him. Noah's shown such improvement! He's gotten so strong at bat and so fast running bases. He's also really gotten with the program in outfield, learning to get behind the ball to field it instead of waiting for it to come to him or having to chase after it. His coaches have remarked on how it's really clicking for him now. :)
So far his team is 5-2 and there are two games left. Go Big Blue!
But as much as we've enjoyed watching him play, we are looking forward to having our Saturday mornings back in July. :) These kids activities are a real time commitment!
