Holiday Grins

We added a few more lights to the porch and door. And then, a couple bows to boot. This view of our home all alight for the holidays makes me smile.

This silhouette of my baby in front of the tree does, too.

And who doesn't smile at the annual Santa's lap picture?  Noah told Santa again about the Batman Cave he is hoping for and he also said Anna wants a princess, which isn't true.  Anna did finally say "tu-tu" but Santa thought she said "choo-choo."  Josh set the big guy straight and then Noah remembered that Anna also wants a fairy wand, which is quite true.  Noah got Santa to sing along with him this time to "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and then Santa got Josh to join in as well.  He tried to get me to sing, too, but I was too smart to do that with the video camera that close to my face.  We did get all this on video so that is a fun treat for us all.

This picture is more wintry themed than holiday, but still ... This was just a fun experiment I copied from a friend of mine.  Noah was alive to the whole sequence of events - pour water, place toys, wait for freeze, hold big ice blob, and then let it melt in the bathtub.  He and Anna would squeal with delight when the ice touched their legs underwater.

we went to Bass Pro, but our picture was SO not good...but I guess that's what you get for free. Brookyn ACTUALLY went up to him and sat on his lap. Nat said she wanted candy for christmas, Brooklyn didn't get teh chance on his lap, so we went back while we waited for our picture and she walked right up to him and quietly said she'd like a Jasmine dress and a phone. :) I was proud of her!

Yeah, I really wasn't happy with the quality of the pic from Bass Pro last year, so I knew that was out of the question for us. The pic we got this year by the Santa photog. was much better, but we didn't get the cd to go with it. Now I wish we did. Still, this one I took on my own camera is decent, too.

The 5x7 we got from the Santa photog. is nestled in the middle of the wreath on our mantle. It looks so pretty. I'm kinda proud of the idea to put it there. :)
