March in One Post

March 2020 ...

Hit up another play - this time at Nashville Children's Theater.  It was SO good! About Hans Christian Andersen's life.

I turned 41. Among some sweet gifts, this piece of art from Anna.  She was going for Peace.

Lasa girl got another inexplicable fever and cough  ... and then we realized it was an ear infection and treated that bad boy with our stock of ear drops. Done!

Everything and everyone shut down for the pandemic, so some of Noah's CHET classes started up on Zoom.  He has also done youth on there as well.  Lasa has had Zoom meetings with her teacher and classmates as well as another with her Sunday School group.  Anna has two this week for her SS group and her own group of girlfriends.  I have done Zoom now myself for bible study and some friends.

Playing in a pleasing Spring rain.

Seemed a timely read aloud.  😬  We are about halfway through.

It wouldn't be a 2020 pandemic pic without a stash of TP we managed to scrounge up on our way back to TN from the beach.

I have picked back up some crochet projects.

Treating this one as a prayer practice of sorts ... praying my way through some things as I work

We are chugging right along schoolwise.  Just started our last 7 weeks of work.  The end is in sight! Lasa seems to be home for the rest of the year ... not officially, but pretty sure that is what's coming.

Much yard work has been down out back ... fencing off the plants Josh doesn't want the bunnies getting into this year.  Adding gates along this new fence.  We also got up the badminton net, tried out our new push mower, cleaned up and cleaned out the bunny bin for spring, laid out new steps for getting to the bunny bin, scrubbed down our slide, and have begun laying a concrete block foundation for the pool.  Hoping to put up some lights around the porch just for sparkle now, too.

Josh got a dehydrator and is having a ball putting it to work.  So far, dehydrated apples, pears, strawberries, and beef jerky.

And finally, the beach.  We were at PCB March 7-14, so right when the sky fell in the US regarding COVID.  Being at the beach gave us a few extra days before we had to return to reality and the gravity that came with it.  Normally, I would post so many wonderful shots of our trip.  This year, I am still in a hard and subdued place, so I will only drop my very, very faves.  It was a good trip, so glad we got to complete it!, but it was not without some tears for me.  The Lord was so tender as to lift my head each day in personal ways and speak to my heart all the while.

Y'all are busy pandemic people. :)

Love, love, love those beach pictures.

And, soldier on students. 7 weeks! Hopefully by the end of your school year we will also be seeing the end of this crisis and summer can be fully enjoyed and appreciated.

I said that to the kids too - that there was hope that by the end of the school year, things could go back to normal. Then I had to walk back normal ... I bet it will be a new kind of normal after this experience as a nation. And then yesterday, I heard some states are now doing shelter at home into JUNE?? Watching and waiting ...
