The kiddos have their annual Pumpkin Book Reports due at co-op Thursday. They tackled those bad boys today. Anna did hers entirely on her own. She needs no training wheels in the creative department. Noah did his almost entirely independently, too. I'd say his was an 80/20 split. Mostly, I was super jumpy standing over his shoulder giving him a million unsolicited tips and reminders every time he went in with a new stroke of paint. :} He has come a long way this year in terms of drawing and art projects they have done with our studies. I have been impressed. Today included!
As a special bonus, Lasa was feeling an artsy vibe today too and took it upon herself to color on the wall in the classroom. This is a BIG Brown family first. I have NEVER had a kiddo do this. But I called it several months ago that she would be the one to break that wonderful streak. I could see it in her spirit and that twinkle in the eye from months away! Luckily I caught her only a few strokes in with that black crayon.
I pounced, I sorta shouted correction, and set her to work with that crayon on a big post-it note pad on the floor instead. By then she had lost interest. Ha!
Book reports...we need to do more of those....
