You Oughta Be in Pictures

I was so good about getting regular interval FirstYear panel pics of Noah and Anna. I was too foggy to get newborns done, but 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 1 year,  check!  This time, I somehow got lost in the shuffle of foster care and didn't know if it was right to be taking those pics of Lasa as if she were ours. I did squeak some 3 months shots out of our family session though! Then 6 months came and went, and I felt a twitch grow stronger at missing this picture time frame, but reasoned that she'd be going home to momma soon, so it made sense to let it go.  But then she stayed with us another month and another and I thought what the heck, I'll just do 8 months and then 12 months if this goes that long.  And 8 months flew by before I knew it.  So finally, after the custody change, I said "screw it" to the question of her being ours or not.  Custody order would suffice for the right to take her some panel pics as I would my own kiddos.  So, all that to say, we got the job done at 9 mos.  A dear JJ friend offered to take some shots of her for us ... which was so kind and so providential because we flat out don't have cash for extras right now. Thank you, Lord!   Meghan sent us a bunch of pics this weekend after a quick Friday night meet up at a nearby church.  These were my faves!

Let the record show that Lasa was a doll baby!  All we had to do was call her name and grin and she'd readily flash a smile right back at us.  Let the record also show that she had an ear infection going on and still looked this good.  She's a rock star.
