We are pet sitting for two weeks right now for one of our former baby bunnies, Inky. They have named her Carmel, but alas, we can still only think of her Inky and have given up trying to do otherwise. And alas, she is an indoor bunny. It's a fun twist to have a bunny nearby while we do school, but it ain't worth the cleanup duty, if you ask me. We have enjoyed letting her out in the backyard and back porch if for no other reason than it's just depressing to watch a poor critter stuck in a box and just sitting there all day. It's not our style at all! Outdoor bunnies with room to roam and buddies with whom to do so are the happiest!
Luckily, she got along fine with Millie right from the start. Things got a little feisty with Lucy so we are skipping Lucy for the rest of her stay.
This past weekend, Josh and the kids lived their best life with a play-all-day sort of coupon at Chuck E. Cheese. I lived my best life in the peace and quiet back at home.
And finally, Noah and Anna have begun a month of tennis lessons and it's going so well. Noah and I watched the US Open Championship like it was our job this weekend (as assigned by one of the coaches) and in between matches Noah got anyone and everyone he could to play tennis with him so he could practice his skillz. Anna, usually so short-tempered and bad at tennis, is gaining confidence already herself! Love where this sport can go for both of them. Noah is set to join up with a local homeschool tennis team in the spring.

Connor's taking tennis lessons, too! He's never done it and he's loving it. We've already extended the first six week session so that he can go another six weeks. Do you remember us all playing tennis a few times in our neighborhood in Gwinnett County!? So fun so many years ago!
ReplyDeleteYes!! That came up recently, in fact. That and how Josh and I used to play at my apartments when we were dating/engaged. Ahhh, memories. Such good ones!
ReplyDeleteI remember playing at Big Canoe on that Young Marrieds' Retreat, too.
ReplyDeleteYes!! Jeremy and I still laugh about that retreat. Jeremy cracked a joke about bringing a date to my funeral and David C thought it was the meanest thing! And, you two had the bedroom with two double beds and used both! Such fun times!!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, the beds! I had forgotten that. ha!
