Waves and Ballet All in a Day

We got some fun stuff done last week, starting with a summer bucket list item - trying out a nearby water park, Wave Country!  It was a perfect landing spot - not too big, had a wave pool, slides, kiddie area, super umbrellas, concessions.  The kids quickly said they'd like to go back if we can this summer. So glad for having Josh there with us this first time.  He enjoyed his second week off in a row, not counting the ferocious cold he nursed along all week, which was a parting gift from VBS the week before.

That's Anna way up there at the top of the slides.  We hardly saw her the whole time we were there - she was all about her sliding business and getting to the deepest end of the wave pool whenever the waves were on.  Not a minute to lose for that girl!  Noah, always more cautious about rides, only did the shorter, rounder, curvier, slower water flumes.  😉 He will probably work up the nerve for these taller, speedier slides next time.

I wandered into the wave pool with Lasa a number of turns and played in the kiddie pool for a second with her, but my favorite attraction was where the shade was, safely perched under the umbrella.  HA!

We sat out one weather delay while we gobbled lunch, swam some more, and headed out before the next pop-up storm coming through. Besides, we had a little miss who needed a nap before her big debut that night ... first ever ballet class!

She felt so pretty in her dance attire.  "I am so essiiiiiiited!" she squealed as she darted and spun and twirled around the house waiting to finally leave.

Can you even stand the excitement?  We couldn't.

Last glance before she went in and they shut the door.

The entire half hour was so precious to listen to.  I can't wait to see some of  what they are doing this Thursday after class when they have parents come in to see what's new.  I have already heard about ballet fingers, demi plie, and first position. It's gonna be a fun July for her!
