December's Second Weekend

On December's second weekend, we dressed the littlest in an over-the-top adorable holiday outfit.

On December's second weekend, we rearranged our Friday lesson plans to make room for a movie while the toddler was at PDO.  We saw Wonder and it was wonderful!

December's second weekend saw more seasonal decor going up - see here the Santa feet on our fireplace, compliments of Anna. ;)

On December's second weekend, I went to my third Christmas party in a week.  It was a gathering of a bunch of us former preschool playdate moms, many I haven't seen in months and months, and it was such an enjoyable night.  Bonus -  our Dirty Santa gift exchange sent me home with a lovely platter!  That was perfect since Josh and I were just talking about how we don't have many nice, presentable serving dishes and such.

On December's second weekend, even though it was literalllllly FrEeZiNg outside, we bundled up to see the Gallatin Christmas Parade.  The snow flurries that blew around really ushered in the holiday spirit and fun!

We huddled in the car for 45 mins before the floats got to our end of the parade route.

Anna was the first to head out to catch snowflakes while she waited.

I got out for 3 mins and hopped back into the car to laugh and text with my sister until the real action started.  Yowza, that wind made the cold even colder!

This officer stopped and backed up and handed the kids each a candy cane from his storage there on back of the bike.  The floats and performers started right after.

My phone died a quarter of the way into the parade ... half from battery and half from cold, I swear.  Phooey!  It charged enough after the whole parade was over to catch a pic of Noah, our last man standing, waiting for the last surge of floats.  Toward the end, there were longer and longer stretches of waiting between entries and it was just too dang cold to sit there and wait for them to get to us.  Except for Noah, standing at his post to gather whatever candy got tossed our way.

On December's second weekend, we enjoyed much down time at home.  Glad for that as I got a sore throat and very little sleep.

On December's second weekend, we had pics taken for Redeemer's new church directory and Anna got to help sell last weekend's ornaments and some fresh-baked goods for the Lottie Moon offering.  They raised $825!

December's second weekend went easy on us.  One more December weekend before company gets here!
